How To Create Your Own Torrents & upload them.This guide is using uTorrent and assumes you are using XP.
If you are using another torrent client (Program) the method is very similar.
This guide has 3 sections.
Section One: Getting the files ready.
Section Two: Making the torrent.
Section Three: Posting your torrent.
Getting the files ready Tips.Note that if others change any files in your torrent then they will no longer be seeding it.
It's important "You" give them little reason to change your files.
Put some effort into your naming of MP3's
(Just naming it: E01 is going to be changed by most downnloaders).
You can't put 2 files called simply E01 and nothing else on most MP3 players.
If they need to change the name they won't keep 2 files.
1 for their MP3 and 1 for seeding or reseeding.
Don't add your name onto a MP3 title.
Nobody wants your name scrolling on their iPod.
Fill in the IDtags.
Dates in the MP3 title can cause issues if they are at the start.
Files get listed by order and as you used numbers first they won't list by series.
3 series all from say 1967 will list in number order not by series
Not a problem in a folder on your PC but can be a pain on a MP3 Player
Try to get into the habit of using 01, 02, 03 etc rather than 1, 2, 3
Series or episodes with more than 9 will not list correctly as it uses the first number.
If for example it has 12 series or episodes it will list as;
1
10
11
12
2

Section One: Getting the files ready.First go into your torrent downloads folder.

Right click and make a new folder.
(You do not need to make a folder if you're only uploading a single file, go to section two)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Right click on it and rename it to. e.g,
Doctor Who - Invaders From Mars - SciFi Audio Drama - 128K - MP3
Other sites will steal torrents or they will show in a Google search, so a good name helps
Put all the files inside this folder you want to make into a torrent.
All files mean any Text or Artwork you want to include that will get downloaded with the torrent.
Tip: Don't just name a folder - Series 01. This can cause problems if someone else also calls a folder Series 01______________________________________________________________________
Section Two: Making the torrent.Start your torrent program (Client).
Now click
FILE top left in uTorrent and select
CREATE NEW TORRENTA new Window pops up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(01 or 02) Select either
ADD FILE or
ADD DIRECTORY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Guide it to the file or folder you made and click
OK when done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(3)
TRACKERS add
http://radioarchive.cc/announce.php (4)
COMMENT enter what you want or leave blank (
See picture below)
(5)
PIECE SIZE set at (
AUTO DETECT)
(6)
OTHER check\tick the
START SEEDING box
(7) Click
CREATE AND SAVE AS....Tip: Many Torrent listing sites don't like Apostrophes in the hash title.
When you (7) Click CREATE AND SAVE AS.... it's better not to include any ' in the name.
Example: Tony's - Series 01 should be saved as Tonys - Series 01.
It's ok to use elsewhere but not in the hash name or you might get an error when uploading.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(04)
COMMENT: This can be anything you want,
Adding: Need this torrent seeded - Visit >
http://radioarchive.cc/ is a good idea
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Click
SAVE and the torrent is made and should then show in your torrent client as seeding.
Once yor torrent is made you can not change it. Even a [ changed to a ( in a text file will corrupt the torrent.
If you need to change any parts you will need to redo the torrent.
So check eveything now as once you upload it's to late.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If your torrent is showing 100% complete and seeding everything went ok.

Section Three: Posting your torrent.
Now go to the main RA.cc page click
UPLOAD TORRENT at the top.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the upload section (1) click
BROWSE in the
TORRENT FILE: line
Guide it to the tiny hash file uTorrent made, Usually 14 to 200kb ish in size, click
OPEN when your done.
(2)
NFO File not important unless you made a NFO (Kind of text file about your torrent)
(3)
TORRENT NAME: e.g. Doctor Who - Invaders From Mars - SciFi Audio Drama - 128K - MP3
(Left blank will use the hash name) (See Tip Below)
(4)
IMAGES: Again not important if you don't have any artwork to go with your torrent.
(5)
CATEGORY: Select, Drama, Comedy or where you think it should go in the drop down menu.
(6) In the bigger white box add some detail about the torrent you're about to upload. Wikipedia is a great place to cut and paste from.
(7) Check you have done all that and then click
UPLOAD.
TIP: (3)
TORRENT NAME: If left blank it will use the .TORRENT name.
But you can add more into this line if you want. If you are going to post regular Torrents you can add your name at the end. This will help others who can simply search your name.
If you have downloaded a NFO file and don't know how to read them.
Right click and select
OPEN WITH and select Notepad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Click
VIEW UPLOADED TORRENT to check it uploaded ok.
TIP: Once you have posted a torrent it might take time for the tracker to detect it,
Others might show as leeching but nothing is moving, give it time before thinking you have made an error.
If after 30 miuntes nothing is moving time to recheck or ask for help.
